Starting another Y56 team. My division has 9 LH starters vs. 4 RH. The division has another Y56, a Huntington '03 and a Fenway '46. Interesting mix! I have Valentine, C. Jones & Yount, all lefty killers. Matthews, Snider, May & Cash all work in Y56 so I'm set with those guys IMO. I need a second baseman and have to upgrade pitching. I think Yount is the odd piece here as Jones is my only leadoff option and trading Yount would free up lots of cash. There isn't much in the way of lead-off options on the wire (McCosky? Rickey?) I've thought about Oliva at RF but he doesn't hit lefties Any Opinions? Sschu you out there? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

What's with those Righty throwing / Righty balanced relievers? You should pick up some Lefties. Usually tons to choose from on the waivers -Tippy, Lefferts, Richert among many others.

One unlikely leadoff guy I've used when no one else is available is George Selkirk. Not very speedy, but very high OBP and some good pop in Y56.

Team looks OK, stay with these guys.

Suggest:

Pickup Burns to platoon on the road with Cash

Either Whit/JAvier at 2B or maybe Herr/Gantner

Dump one of Ford/Seaver and get Sutton

Find a 4th SP, depending on matchups, Clancy/Heintz or another LH is good. Pickup a cheap starter for pitcher parks like Wilks or Meyer or Roe. Or if you have the $$ get a decent cheapie 4th SP.

Cleon is an excellent choice for leadoff

Orosco for Goose

Taylor is a bad fit, Bahnsen is preferable but not available. Keep an eye on the wire, but Morgan in the end.

Dump all those expensive backups like Lacy and J Alou, your everyday lineup is fine.

I like Key, but be careful, lots of hitter parks. If division oppoents have lots of LH killers then you may want to keep Ford and move to Lonborg. Count LH/RH hiiters and strength. Sometimes one sees a fair amount of platoons and S hitters, Palmer can pitch well in that circumstance.

Best of luck, sschu

Division is balanced regarding L/R hitters. There is one lefty killer per team: Carter, Dawson, Banks, but I think i;ll go 3 lhps, 1 rhp to keep thigns honest. Sutton better than Seaver? I've had good success with Seaver. Key is hit or miss. I may look to another LHP as he gives up extra bases on the right side of his card. Rest of league is pretty balanced. One pitchers park division. The other division is a Dunn, Fenway 67, Fen 46 & a 'Stick. In regards to the bullpen, I've had bad luck with Orosco. Probably go with Konstanty over Goose and a couple of lefties. Pickins' are slim for LHRP though. Thanks for in put.
