Live $80 mil Draft FULL

Our historical single season sets

Thursday Afternoon

Postby rschwartz51 » Wed Oct 05, 2005 2:47 am

I've bought a computer and am having it installed this Thursday afternoon.

Please consider how I might handle the draft during this time.

Bob, Only an administrator on Penn's site can submit a bid in your behalf. I know BigMahon is an admin, I am not sure about anyone else. Send Big two names so he can pick for you in the first round.

Guys, draft admins DO NOT have the authority to pick for someone else. Only penngray can do this, and he is not in this draft.

However, I will be happy to pick for bob (or anyone else) if I am sent the pick(s) and a password in pm. Unless it's still TEST, in which case just let me know that.

Proxy Tips

Postby LMBombers » Wed Oct 05, 2005 5:53 am

To safely use proxies on Penn's site the important thing to remember is to use groups and make sure to select "yes" on delete if group picked. That way if you need a 1B and put proxies on 10 1B all in the same group and all marked Yes on delete if group picked, then you will get your top rated 1B proxy and the rest of that group will be deleted after that selection. Your proxies will then go on to your next group of player proxies.

If you fail to use groups and to select Yes on delete if group picked, is that you might draft two players from the same position without wanting to.

Without placing your proxy picks into seperate groups the site will just go straight down your list picking the highest rated player on your list. You retain control of who you want picked by placing them in groups.

Proxies are a great way of speeding up the draft process. Everyone doesn't have to wait until one person gets back to his computer for the draft to continue on. If you are going to be away from the draft for a lengthy period of time the courteous thing to do would be to place several proxy picks. Also once the draft clock is started (after round one?) if you don't have proxies and can't get to your computor you run the risk of being skipped in the draft.

If you have any questions about proxies ask it here in this forum and I am sure it will be answered promptly.

On proxies, does the "round" you pick matter? Or just leave that at zero... :?

mtarbell, I always leave round at 0, but some people like to leave groupings for each round. Not necessary though...

By the way, bobschwartz is up! Are we stuck until tomorrow?

Just read through Bob's posts, and if I'm reading things right, he won't have a computer until Thursday, but is leaving for California on Friday.

Doesn't really leave alot of time for drafting... :?

Apparently Bob doesn't have his priorities straight. He should know that SOM comes before anything else.
