March Madness - Round 2

Our Mystery Card games - The '70s Game, Back to the '80s, Back to the '90s

To those who question the SOM ratings for the 80's, keep in mind the folks who play 80's are not your typical managers.

When put to the test against top managers (including Panzer) those 80's managers who fail in your "Systems" (like myself) are not as bad as you think.

Panzer is one damn good manager who could do serious damage if he played as much as some of us. Don't get me wrong. I purposely don't join any auto-league unless I am experimenting with a squad of cards that nobody else would dare put into a league.

Agreed, Sykes. The experienced managers take it to the next level, that's for sure. :-) The system that i proposed assumes that every team is drafted in hopes that they win, which holds up most of the time, but not always. Like i mentioned, experience goes a LONG way in this game. So, in that respect, the TSN rating system does a good job in rewarding expertise, which is definitely a strong component of what it takes to be a successful manager.

Like so many things, it boils down to how you define "Performance" and how you decide to measure it.

Back to the Madness... Looking forward to a great Round 2 Bracket 1!

PRIZE

Postby Jablowmi » Mon Jun 12, 2006 12:52 pm

I would be remiss and less annoying if I failed to remind those still involved that there is a prize at the end of the rainbow. To date, I've collected $109 from 21 of the original 48 managers, so we'll have a nice prize for the winner.

Jablowmi -

I'm one of the inconsiderates who has not contributed to the cause...I know you've posted directions for making a contribution elsewhere, but can you remind us again?

Prize

Jablowmi

I'm one if the inconsiderates also. Please post a reply so I can make my contribution also. I also think if the winner doesn't make a contribution he is not eligible for the prize. It goes to the next guy that did. It's only fair. My team is ready and I'm looking forward to the next round. I survived in Panzer Ace's division by the hair on my chinny chin chin. LOL. Good luck everyone.
