Here were the rules as posted--

[quote:6706bcc5f3]The rules as they stand:
1) 7 keeper, or protected, players going into the draft and season. [b:6706bcc5f3]Owners do not have to keep exactly 7, but can not protect more than 7[/b:6706bcc5f3].
2) Protected player list must be posted here by 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29 EDT (this is kind of arbitrary, so any problems with this jsut say so).
3) Six-round live draft (I will make a separate thread in this forum - ILC- just for the draft). The draft will begin Monday, October 3, 11 a.m. EDT.
(again, this is kind of arbitrary, so any problems with this just say so).
4) Draft is straight, worst-to-first. 12-1, 12-1, 12-1, 12-1.
5) Time limit between picks - 60 minutes. (break, if needed, with no time limit from midnight - 9 a.m. thereafter)
6) One trade involving protected players is allowed per team, after announcing keeper list and before the draft.
[b:6706bcc5f3]7) Teams must retain their keepers from this point (draft) through the beginning of season play[/b:6706bcc5f3].
8 ) Owners can change parks.
9) 80 mil, no-DH
10) After live draft, protected players and drafted players get placed at the BOTTOM of the auto-draft card. All players hoping to be taken via autodraft at the top of the card.[/quote:6706bcc5f3]

I'm assuming you are now over the cap. This kinda screws things up. I know I wanted Rice, and would have picked him early, my second pick, actually. Allowing you to dump Valentine, one of your keepers, and keep Rice isn't right, as someone might have wanted to take Valentine in the draft...

Don't know what to do here... Commish, anyone, any ideas?

I think 50 lashes with a wet noodle at least are in order...

This is a BIG problem.... By my math, bunze0 is at $78m with 13 players. Obviously he can't fill a card.

My thought is that, yes, bunze0 can cut Gordon and Valentine, but no one can put them on a draft card. They would have to be available via the waivers period.

Folks, whattaya think?

A couple teams have already filed their draft card, so we cannot do any retroactive drafting here.

For example, I may have taken Mogridge instead of Leifield in the final round.

Do we need to come up with some kind of penalty? I just don't know.

He's got just under $2mil. left. So to draft 14 players at the minimum, he would have to cut $5.2mil, roughly. Should he cut Mogridge's $5.56 or Rolfe's $5.28? And be done with it.
