Down to one catcher

I am a complete newbie to this phenomenon. In my first series I lost Varitek for 15 games, leaving me only with Stinnett. What should I do? Is it foolish to proceed with one catcher?

SOM will not let your last catcher get injured. You are fine with just the one catcher.
