opinions on Corrales

Looks like a decent card, but seems like he's the least-used $3+ mill catcher in 1969, maybe because of lack of hrs. Anybody have any experience with him?

In almost ten 1969 leagues, I see no evidence of any significant playing time by Corrales. He's on every theme team involving the Reds, but he is always Bench's backup and I haven't seen more than 40 at-bats from him yet.

I had him twice in Wrigley, and it worked out ok.
BAvg .257 HR 9 RBI 51 OBP 323 SLG 373
BAVg .276 HR 9 RBI 59 OBP 366 SLG 390
I am considering dumping Torre and picking up Corrales on my current team.

I wish I could've gotten close to those numbers. I tried him for 40 games, then dumped him after he fell flat on his face: .169 ba, 1 hr, 8 rbi, .240 obp, .228 slg. Only 136 abs though.

On the bright side, I picked up Mitterwald and he's been a pleasant surprise, .255 ba and some pop, plus his defense is as good as Corrales.
