Position comparisons, who should I take

Position comparisons, who should I take

McLain or Pfeister?
Gantner or Johnson @ 2B.

I'm going smallball, and I want pitching, no SB against, and defense. McLain w/ +2 will allow runners to move, but Pfeister @ -2 should hold them at check. OR Keep McLain and improve my OBP and defense by upgrading Gantner to Cox (2e17 to 2e8 & .335 to .363).

I'll take any comments, and I'll finalize my team this evening.

Figure you guys got me the ring last time.

Keep McLain, he rocks. With Cochrane, your battery is -1, -3 with the hold. That's sufficient. Dump Stahl, and use your last 1.5 to pick up a better 2B, or downgrade Riggs (one of my least favorite players) and look for a 2B. Overall, I really like the team, with the exception of the BP.

McLain. Don't worry about stolen bases. Just sandwich McLain in the rotation between Dean and Clemens. No one should even attempt to steal off Cochrane with those guys on the mound. I'd tweak my sb settings against those guys and that should mean less attempts vs. McLain. Even Cobb would be a 1-13 with the lead. Mclain may be the best value of the high priced pitchers for a small ball park. For me this would be a no brainer, depending only on the other parks in the division/league.

Both of your second base choices need to be reevaluated. Gantner's marginal but playing Cox at second base is absolutely insane. He's an e71 not e8. Getting a 1 at second base should be a much higher priority than stolen bases.

Stick with McLain. He's the best value under 10m. You can't steal first base....

I'd take McLain over Pfeister. I've never used Evers.......

Evers is OK. What you see is what you get. No INJ, low OBP, can steal a base, a "1" but lots of errors. I used him 3 times and he seems to be worth pretty much what he costs, IMHO.
