There Goes the Neighborhood

Postby Semper Gumby » Thu Jun 15, 2006 8:41 am

To my surprise, the Air Force joined the Central division so we can expect SOG to select a ballpark and then spend millions of dollars improving the golf course and pool outside of the park's training facilities.

Of course, we'll hear all season how these improvements made the league the best ever and we can all expect to see a few medals / ribbons coming our way.

Perhaps a large statute will be in order to history-ize the effort - say placing it near the Iwo Jima memorial?

C'Mon, Marine, it actually looks like you joined the neighborhood after the Air Force was already in. Can't believe there's two Marines in this thing, and you both advanced (Sean did advance, right)? To my way of thinking, you are going to litter those beautiful sand traps with discarded MRE packaging and spent brass.

Congrats on making round 2. You had a long hiatus, I used to see you post alot in 2003-2004 (I think).

No real rookies left in this, those who were lower ranking deserved higher rankings before this ever got started. I'm just bummed my 88 wins wasn't good enough for a wildcard.

Hell, no.

I'm personally going to see to it that sand traps will be used for a higher purpose such as a nice slit trench or a great place for my two-hole crapper.

:D

While I can't speak for Sean, I find the MREs dreadful and a serious threat to one's lower bowel chamber even with Tabasco sauce. If I recall, they probably give a ribbon out to the airman for eating one in golf camp.

When Airmen want MREs, they just detail marines to run the chow tent.
Off we go, Zoomie! To take out a Panzer you need Air Power!
(AFRO-T-C, class of '80, 4 & out).
Uniforms are fine as long as you don't have to wear them more than an hour or 2 a week.

First two on my list.

Why didn't you guys wait for Brackets 1&3 to be ready to go? There's some chatter on those threads about waiting to draft after Monday, as some of the folks may need to be away from their computers during waivers if they run this weekend, etc...so it may be that your bracket will be a week off the other two...hope not, as I'd love to draft ASAP! Good luck in your draft!

I don't really see what difference it makes if we're a week earlier. I don't think all the Tour leagues run in sink. Anyway, too late now.
