How ironic - my only 2001 Championship came from playing at the Vet! :)

Hopefully the return of McGriff will help ease some of the struggles we've had recently.

I forgot the West division in 2001 plays 36 straight games against division oppnents ... going to be interesting to see how that plays out ... will be a little while before we see how we stack up vs. the rest of the league!

Just for the record in 2001 my teams have finished:

1st: 45 times
2nd: 26 times
3rd: 8 times
4th: 4 teams

won 100+ games 19 seasons out of 83 completed...

if I could only package this into 2006 where with 2 completed seasons and 13 in progress I do not have a single team in first place...the game has certainly passed me by!

Hey I'm here. Been here from the beginning. I think you are right about the Hammers and Hal. I just can't believe I'm still finding bargains in this game. O'Neil and Terrence Long are both doing well for me.

Well I fought back from the less than favorable spot and am now at 12-12. Maybe this will be like the old division I was in a few months ago with the .Carnival, right JKolak. Three teams over 90 wins. Course I had the killer couplet of Cliff Floyd and Mike Piazza that JK like so much he copied in our next league together... with better results of course.

BTW JK, I see you are from Philly. I'm from the Harrisburg/Hershey area myself. Nothing more than that. PA represent! Heh. :P

Man, I knew that my team would be hurt by the lack of LH Power but i could use a little help from

AROD
Sweeney
Kent

and Edmonds!!!

this squad should still score more than 4.1 runs per game.....

(i hope) :?

Yeah my offense has cooled down after the first couple of series and Russ Ortiz is off to a slow start. Looking forward to playing teams outside the West Division to see if that will do us any good.
