Or not, as the case may be. I wonder if he would have made him back to you in Round 2. In the days before DH, there was this guy named "Dick Stuart" who used to play 1B for the Boston Red Sox (Pittsburgh earlier). His license number in Massachusetts was E3. That said, he led or challenged for the league lead in HR several seasons, and whether we called him "Stone Fingers" or not, he was still one hell of a ball player when it came to putting up runs. Ortiz is a true wonder.

I'm a Minnesota Twins season ticket holder. In an organization that hasn't had a 30-HR hitter since 1987, he will be always known as the one that got away. We didn't trade him, we outright cut him. True, he was hugely injury prone while here, but... oh well. At least he'll smash 'em out for my strat team.

The last several years the Twins have dropped HR leaders on the team. Ortiz, Koskie, Jones, and LeCroy (hit 1 HR in every 8 at-bats against lefties).

I wouldn't be concerned about CASMITH. He returned my email just a little while ago. He had to be away and forget about his proxies. The person that we may need to worry about is Dneedle. He has been skipped once already. This the part of the draft where the talent begins to thin a little. He hurt himself by missing his last pick.
