Burning my last 3 skips and the "best" hitting squad I can get is 34 Cards. Other choices were 64/87 cards and the mighty 65 Dodgers. ICK. Pitching wasn't much better decided not to skip anything and take the 84 Padres. At least that will cover my bullpen needs.

SteveAmes told us, in an earlier post, to give him 8 hours if we have no clock, then assign him the next team. The hitting team, the 82 Brewers, would be an easy choice, but with the pitching team (59 Cubs) I'm not so sure. I guess we give him the clock, then if he's unable to access due to his vacation access, we assign them around 7pm and move on.

Also, for the sake of cleaning up the team posts, should we delete the teams already selected to shorten the lists?

On the next time thru the list, we should eliminate those teams that were already selected.
Good idea.

Agree with the cleanup. I would say the Brewcrew is any easy choice but the next pick is the 27 Yankees.

Every time I speak up about a live draft moving, it stops dead in its tracks! :?

[i:7b69aef75f]"I will be travelling Thurs PM until Sat AM and then will be on vacation with intermittent internet access ( but I should have some - I hope) so if draft starts and there is a clock and my time expires just choose whatever is next with no skips. If there is no clock and it has been 8 hours then please just choose the next one with no skips and that will be fine, I have no wish to hold things up and can make a team out of anything and do not care if I get too beat up, lol. "[/i:7b69aef75f]

This was Steve's message a while back on the original post on the other boards. I'm not actually sure if that referred to this week or last week.

Obviously, Milwaukee '82 hitters is a solid pick, so I'm sure he'd be fine with that.

But what about pitching? The '59 Cubs aren't terrible, the '29 Cubs on the other hand are. Based on his instructions, I can't see using 2 skips to get to the '68 Tigers.

Ultimately I think since it's sschu's league, it's gotta be his call.

As next up, I am perfectly willing to give him a little while to show up ........

I guess I'd go ahead and assign him the next teams, if it were my league. I'm leaving my choices in a proxy with PJ and sschu, since I'll be unavailable tonight.

At 7:30 he should get the next picks, as his post indicates. Seems pretty straight forward to me.
