The "Tim Redding League" Chat Thread

I thought everyone would think the same as Stoney & Terry and go for the less obvious guys. Leaving a clear shot at A-Rod. Well so, far it is only fowldawg & me. 50-50 chance. Naturally I will lose my 50-50 shot and "win" the one out of 12 for Redding.

Stoney, probably a bad situation for one or even both of us. Maybe someone else picked Ortiz and Utley 1-2 or 2-1. It unfolds tonight.

I think I had Ortiz, Heilman, Floyd, Cabrera as my top choices

Sorry to bump in, but wanted to respond to Arryl mentioning he drafted 6 SP's. Yes, that was perfectly legal, we did the same in the Brazelton league. All I asked was that everyone get down to 5 ASAP so as not to "hoard" anybody that someone might want.

I can't remember but, sorry vince I had ARod number 1. I'm pretty sure I put Wagner in the top 5 as well as either Harden or Heilman. I may have stuck D. Lee in there going for two high-priced hitters.

Important Reminders re: T. Redding

Postby ArrylT » Fri Jun 23, 2006 11:47 pm

* The owner who gets him must keep him and use him for the entire season, never dropping him.

* The owner who gets him as a reward gets to claim any player not drafted after the AD and before waivers. IOW, that owner essentially has a #1 waiver pick, as no owners may put a claim on the player the Redding owner declares. So Redding actually becomes a reward for the Manager who gets him.

The only good thing about having Redding is that HAL will take him out in 1st of every game once he gives up his five runs. I haven't decided who I want in waivers yet. I will by evening.

So I get the first waiver pick by announcing it and no one takes him. I also keep my regular waiver pick which I think is third?
