Chit Happens Sometimes

Postby Semper Gumby » Thu Jun 22, 2006 6:49 am

Thanks to Strawberry's new diet supplements, the team swung much better last night.

However, I did spy a set of "man boobs" on Trammell this morning.

It looks like the Whale is beached. If he can't get his fat tail in the water tonight he's going to be history.

Chit Will Happen to You

Postby Semper Gumby » Thu Jun 22, 2006 2:55 pm

unless you make chit happen first.

So, I'm going to add and drop underperforming players faster than Paris Hilton gets Brazilians.

How about a little Rice with your Chit?

Postby Semper Gumby » Fri Jun 23, 2006 7:04 am

After 12 games played, Jim Rice's OBP is 10 points under my body weight.

Hell, his OBP (.177) is twice as large as his BA (.087).

What adds insult to injury, he leads the team in "whiffs" by 6 which is surprising given I have several batters that are free swingers (wife swapping is another story).

The one bright hope is Rice's biggest KO season is 1978 with ~18.5 / 22.2 chances vs. LHSPs / RHSPs respectively.

Moreover, HAL has issued two IBBs to Rice despite Jimmy's punny OPS of .394. If we subscribe to HAL's avoidance of positive clutch, then Rice's five seasons all possess negative outcomes with his middle seasons holding the lowest chances (-3 or less). Perhaps HAL knows something about Jim's card

Otherwise, I'm smelling his 1982 season and we'll find out when he gets his first boo boo.

Overall, my team batting average sucks the big pile of [b:9b895669e2]poo[/b:9b895669e2] and if I didn't have Comer's back-2-back complete games - we'd be sitting an even bigger pile of [b:9b895669e2]poo[/b:9b895669e2]. :?

Besides - it is always nice to see Luz go yard twice last night as he continues to make a case for inclusion in the starting line-up.

Well my team finally came alive last night with a sweep of Sog. Nothing like showing up at his house with a present for the baby and having it be a box of rocks. I almost feel guilty about it. Oh well, he probably won't even look at his team for another couple of days so he won't notice.

[quote:3403d1290e="Jack377"]Sure hope we (Huntley Hills) are not headed for another 4-17 start...[/quote:3403d1290e]

At 1-11, we need a hot streak to make 4-17!

Wow.

Fried Rice with your Chit?

Postby Semper Gumby » Sat Jun 24, 2006 10:45 am

Sure, I'm going have another dish of Rice this weekend but Luz is making a case for himself to get into the starting line-up as his performance over 8 games gives light upon his 1982 season.

Of course, the high KO rate demonstrated by Rice leads me to his 1982 season as well considering his KO rate versus LHSPs isn't too high. Additionally, HAL has tossed him two IBBs and his 1988 card sports -5 clutch both sides. Otherwise, Rice is playing off of his 1988 card.

Going to be fun 2night

Postby Semper Gumby » Sat Jun 24, 2006 11:53 am

Last meeting saw 9 homeruns between Jab's team and my own.

Going to sit Rice and see what happens with Luz
