Hack Wilson is the Champ. He swept the finals and ended up with an overall record of 21-6.

I'm hoping that this means he has to buy a round. Congrats Hack!

The Las Vegas Championship should have it's own website with the list of champions by year w/photos and write-ups of each Championship series with stats. Player card stats for Las Vegas, [b:ed57ab22ef]Whose been on more winning teams[/b:ed57ab22ef]

May I again be the official Joe Adcock cheerleader? His unofficial stats in 16 games:

Batted roughly .400;
9 HRs
20-25 RBIs
OPS roughly 1.300

Too bad he couldn't pitch out of the bullpen for my team.

My team, the Penn State Neanderthals, played in the Baker Bowl. It was a hitting team -- there was no salary ceiling, and we drafted for a 16 team format. Due to the limited numbers of games, we had no injuries.

So here are the basics:

LINEUP:

Riggs Stephenson LF
Sal Bando 3B
Lou Gehrig 1B
Roy Campanella C
Joe Gordon 2B
Jose Canseco/D. Strawberry RF
Larry Doby CF
Pee Wee Reese SS

ROTATION:
Nick Maddox
Bill Dineen
Waite Hoyt/John Hiller
Tom Seaver
Long Tom Hughes

BULLPEN:
Woodie Fryman
Roger McDowell
Joe Beggs
Bill Klinger
Johnny Podres
Rawley Eastwick

I'd say the MVP was Lou Gehrig, who put on a monster hitting clinic full of doubles, triples and homers. I'd also give a lot of credit to the bullpen and its ability to match up with the opposing hitters.

The fact is, there were so many good managers in the tournament. I happened to get the lucky rolls. Like Catfish Hunter once said, "The sun shines on every dog's as** now and then."

It was a lot of fun!
