As you know things in this game change quickly!! My 2006 team led for about 120 games then lost 19 of 26 to fall 8 games out of the race. After a few games at .500 they went 17-3 to close out and I am starting tonight as the Wild Card. Same players - jusr better luck.

I feel your pain. My best team ever in ATG II was 7 games over .500 or better and in either first or the wild card lead for the better of 130 games and tanked at the end to finish 80-82.
I have a 2006 team that had a high benchmark of 21 games over and was in first most of the season. They slipped to only 11 games over in a week's time and into second battling for the wildcard. I am entering the final week of play and expecting HAL to crush my spirits with this team as well.

As a long-time (70 years) resident of the Chicago area I would say that it sounds to me like you have caught the dreaded CHICAGO CUBS SYNDROME.
Lets hope not as this condition is incurable.

I respectfully (and just kiddingly) suggest... that when one of my BoSox clubs (this one had a 38-55 record coming in) sweeps one of your teams (losses 11, 12, and 13), it is definitely time to either... (a) have an independent auditor investigate the SN computer code... or (b) just hang it up for good, go out whilst sill yet a winner and spend time mentoring.

In the 1-0 loss, you were home (Dodger '65)... Koufax had 13K's in 8 IP, but somehow surrendered a 7th inning RBI single to Larry Bowa.... that's "Ugly".
