OK, So I lose 2 of the first 3 to Trains. One of the losses was a complete fluke and should never happen again this season...

Pedro Martinez knocked out in the 1st inning....

2/3 IP 5 hits 6 Runs 1 BB 2 HR My bullpen went the whole rest of the game and only gave up 1 more run.

From my trip...Which was non stop event after event after event - except with no car, computer access, 90% humidity and a 3 hr time change in zone - i was getting up when I usually go to bed and attempting to sleep when wired...So basically i don't know which way is up...I had about 20 min of computer access and just basically stared blankly at the screen the whole time...Think I am going to take tomorrow off and sleep until the afternoon...No excuses tho...But if I find a way to make the playoffs in this league it will be a major miracle.

I don't know how I managed it, but I did get 2 waiver picks down before the mini frenzy...I took Pettitte and Garrett Anderson(I usually make the full 8 picks). Problem is, i added wrong and never got Pettitte, who was available at #9 in the 1st round. I am going to need more luck than in any league to win games here. If I didn't have a decent draft, I'd be the guaranteed worst team in the league...Still might be... :wink: I'm going to bed, the 3 hr delay in Denver today made it a 15 hr travel day. Ugh...

More tomorrow...I don't even know who the players in my Division have yet. :shock:

If it is one thing I have learned to live with, it's that every team I build will start slow. Never figured out why I can't put together a team that just starts firing right out of the starting blocks?? :roll:

Don't worry, AT, my teams often get off to turbo-charged starts and then come unglued partway through the season and disappear from view.

I really don't have a good sense on how this team will do since I am trying a number of different things this time around, but I don't think it's going to keep hitting at a .342 BA pace.


But I'll bask in the early victories while I can! :)

Now I have wait another day or two to begin the conquest!

(of course, I think my team will have to score more than 1 RUN in a series to actually win some games...sheesh :roll: )

Man I am an idiot - just realized that first series I lost was on the road - not at home. :oops: :roll: :oops:

So it turns out I am 2-1 at home and 2-4 on the road so far .... series #2 at home is tonight! :)
