Home field Help - Please

Postby SCOTTZIMMERMAN » Mon Jun 26, 2006 2:21 pm

Ok I dont get. I am 11-19 at home and 21-12 on the road. Even when I play the other team that has Three Rivers as their home field I beat them on the road. Am I missing something here? After all it is the same field. Have I been home field jinxed?

Here is the team

All I Can Say Is...

draft for balance.

You have 5 lefty starters. Some are doing ok against RH hitting but still....

You are relying upon Will Clark to do ALL of your dirty work vs. RH pitching too.

I seriously think that it has little to do with your ball park of choice. If you want to win at this game, you'll draft a team that has key elements across the board. Balance is the key.

I don't see much in the way that any part of your squad takes advantage of any strength of your ballpark. It's pretty much slanted to try and smash LH pitching regardless of the ballpark. Your team will struggle against good RH pitching and will only contend for a win when Sid or perhaps, Carlton is on the mound.

Sounds like a .500 team to me. Just my opinion.

Listen to Dr Simpson. He know what he is talking about. If not he'll whip a 35 page manifesto together to prove he is correct.

You need another lefty hitter or two. Consider dropping Armas and Jones for someone like Greenwell, Von Hayes, Jose Cruz and a 75 center. Consider dropping Bonnell also and look at Parker. If it isn't '83, pick him up. Strawberry too.

Both Armas and Bonell are not eraning their keep, and whay do you need Jones. That a lot of money. I see HoJo is available also.

Howard Johnson?

Postby SCOTTZIMMERMAN » Tue Jun 27, 2006 8:04 am

I took your advice and picked up Howard Johnson. I did a name search and he was not injured on there. When I added him to my team he showed up injured on my roster. I looked when he got hurt for his first team and it said he was to be back in game 7.

Any idea what is going on with that?

Forget homefield.
I have a team that is 22-5 within its division and 17 and 25 playing outside its division.
