AL Players excluded

When I built the draft this morning with the correct order it wiped out my exclusions. They have been re-done.

Pick away my children

Will BallyWackman make Wally Backman his #1 pick in the live draft?

I'm not so sure I enjoyed having the first pick in my first live draft... no pressure on that one, huh?? It'll be interesting (for me) to see how the rest of the first round plays out.

With not many options left on ballparks... 5 ballparks left... I basically had 4 options... (a) pick the only pitchers park, Busch, in the HR-oriented central division, (b) pick the only HR park (Jack Murphy) in the pitching oriented west division, (c) pick the last stadium, 3 Rivers, in the balanced stadiums east division, or (d) pick one of the two remaining low-HR stadiums, Dodger/Astrodome, in the west division.

After analysis, I went with (d) Dodger Stadium, then proceed to select... Mike Schmidt  With most of his HR's this season now officially expected to come on the road (e.g. SD, Chi, Atl, Cin, and East), it seems like he will be booooed terribly at his home ballpark, just like he was in Philly in the 70's... as Dodger fans will have very high standards for the #1 overall pick...

Good luck to everyone as the draft continues! :D

Schmidt should do just fine in Dodger Stadium. He'll hit plenty of dingers for the home crowd, too.

YF, I think some guys in this league may need an explanation of the proxy system. I've seen you explain it very well before.

I went thru the same soul searching, where can Wally Backman truly shine? And then I realized there's no place on earth that can contain him.
