Late Inning replacements ...

Late Inning replacements ...

Postby drakmann » Wed Jun 28, 2006 9:59 am

Any thoughts on how to have HAL do a switch of one player to a new position ... and then bring in someone for the position he left ... I'm am trying to move an outfielder to 1b ... Then replace a sub into the outfield space ... So far each time he takes out the outfielder ... and leaves the firstbaseman ... even though I have the firstbaseman checked ... Take out for Def Sub with lead ... I've also listed the sub in the pref def ... and the switched OF to 1b in the pref def ... Any help would be great ... Thanks

HAL is not smart enough to do a 3 way switch for defense replacement. It is only a 1 for 1 deal with that.

Did they remove this question from the FAQ? I coulda sworn it used to be there, but now I don't see it. And now it gets asked every week, with three different wrong answers every time. Anyway.

List the OF who is coming off the bench as defensive replacement #1. List the guy who started in OF and whom you now want to move to 1B as defensive replacement #2, at 1B. Mark the 1B whom you want removed from the game as "replace defensively with lead."

This will also work in defense replacement slots #3 and 4, but will not work in any other slots.

I looked for a recent team and also couldn't find it. It still works when done the way you instruct though.
