[quote:0ec23ca9d7]YF, I think some guys in this league may need an explanation of the proxy system. I've seen you explain it very well before. [/quote:0ec23ca9d7]
When I get home I'll check my HD. I think I save it somewhere

Maybe I'll have to make Wally my first pick!

I ended up picking E. Davis over Wally since he makes watching boxscores for injuries so exciting! Sykes is up.

Dwyane Murphy

Postby jsam9801 » Wed Jun 28, 2006 3:40 pm

Not that anyone will end up picking him, but Dwayne Murphy is ineligible to be picked (listed on YF's list as Atlanta player). Yes, I am a geek and am going through every player to figure out who can handle the rigorous scrutiny :x of the drunk Cub fans.

Thanks YountFan for setting this up. This will be alot of fun!

With my Pick 3 selections to date, are we sure that California is not a pick 2 system?

YF must have thought it was Dale Murphy when he did the list. (Dale is also listed as eligible.) I checked the draft site and Dwayne Murphy has been excluded.

In my pre-1st pick analysis (did I say agony?), I did STRONGLY consider making Wally #1, but I didn't want to rob the namesake manager from having the joy of making him THEIR 1st round selection.

Congrats on the E. Davis pick... all OF's, power/speed/defense... wow! If only even ONE OF HIS 5 CARDS had 600+ I could've talked myself into it.

With the wimpy 2B roster in the NL... and his 1e9, Ryne was definitely Schmidt's main "batter" competitor for the #1 overall slot... and likely the consensus #1 going into the draft... but I received a last minute telephone call from Oakland#24... who, in addition to sharing with me what color he'd like for his club-provided new car... also warned me that Rickey wasn't going to be happy batting ahead of Sandberg's anti-clutch effects... after all, when Rickey's not happy, then really NO ONE is happy.

In all seriousness, it was really tough NOT to pick Ryne at #1, and depending on which poor shleppp I end up getting at 2B, I may regret it.

I just realized that SEANREFLEX picks before me. I hate that!

I know he will be picking my guy in round 1. He is just evil that way!

I've pm'd Sykes to make his stadium and live picks. I know he's stated lately that he's been busy at work. Anyone have an email address for him and want to try to get his attention?
