Most of us are in other leagues that are upgrading. It's a trickle down effect.

Yet another example of Strat's great customer service. I'm not a programmer, but I don't think it should be that difficult to make a later version compatible with recent prior versions. (Like there's no good reason that you shouldn't be able to order years over the Internet, with the authorization code sent automatically--and immediately--by email.)

Most of us are in leagues that will be using version 11. I believe that's the reason for the upgrade in our current league.

The rant was more of "what could be" than "what is."

That sounds good, with the format we have laid out it should be easy to add teams as well. :D

Here is a tenative schedule...

We can use the lottery results from 7/8 to determine who gets the Yankees. Then we can take a couple of weeks to select our 25 franchise players and begin the supplemental towards the end of July. The free agency period will run until the season starts which should be the 1st Monday after ktoe gets back from vacation. If we get more people interested in the league prior to the 8th we can still expand. :D

I forgot one other thing, this weekend I'll put together a rough draft of the constitution and then we can discuss some of the more detailed rules and how we want to handle those.

Thought the teams were 1st come 1st serve.
If I don't get the Yanks, then my next pick would be the Cards.
So maybe we need to use the lottery to select our franchise team?

Still don't understand suplemental draft.
15 rounds and I can take any player on a non-francise team?
It would seem I could fill a whole roster there?
I gotta be missing something.

Why doesnt the lottery just decide who picks their franchise in which order? And I am also confused about the supplemental draft.

ktoe's post says he'll use the Red Sox if 2004 and Mets if 2005.

Looks like we're using the 2004 set.
If I lose the lottery, I'll take the Mets in 2004.
