hooner I'll swap Rick Monday (seeing as you can use a CF) and my 16th round pick for Brooks and your 12th round pick

BOBSCHWARTZ Draft Question

Postby LMBombers » Sat Oct 08, 2005 7:12 am

I have made the last 3 picks for BOBSCHWARTZ per his PM proxies. However he is running into a severe cap problem. He has spent 72.74m on 12 players. Which means that he has 13 more players to pick with less than 8m to do so with.

I don't know enough about Penn's website to know the answer to the below possible solution. Can Bob drop a selected player at any time during the draft and pick a lower priced player immediately? I don't know if this is allowed or how the rest of us would know if it happened. I am not positve but Bob may not be checking back in until Monday. I will try to make his next choice after BigMahon picks. If I am not able to select one of the names he gave me I don't think I should just pick any old .50 player for him so that the draft can continue. Bob should then reevaluate this situation and make his own decision.

If the draft stops at Bob's next pick you will know the reason why.

I PM'd him and told him to look for a response to this post I was about to make. ANY SUGGESTIONS for Bob?

Hey Bombers... very decent of you to keep an eye out for Bob's interest.

And Bob, looks like you've gone to extra-ordinary efforts to keep this draft rolling along.

Thanks to both of you! 8)

Bombers, I'd say that if it looks like Bob's gonna have cap issues based on his next proxy, you'd best just skip his next pick and give him a chance to re-evaluate things.

As far as his dropping players during the draft, that's usually a no-no, but given his circumstances, I personally wouldn't object to his dropping a player in order to meet the salary cap and still field a competitive team.
