24 League 69 style

Our historical single season sets

OK, I believe you. That just means that we need to complete the draft and enter our teams into 2 leagues before Friday at midnight. Is that possible? It could be done but will it? Time will tell. :?:

Also remember, that whatever progress we make on weekends is just a bonus, there is no clock. Also, that Steve Ames is MIA from internet access unless at work. He said he did load up on proxies, but as we all know, they go fast, really, really fast.

Rosters...

Postby pepsi4dan » Sat Oct 08, 2005 11:01 am

I realize we are drafting a 25 man roster, but do we have to keep the roster at 25? Can we cut it to say 24 or expand it to say 27? Just curious.

Although the initial rules didn't specify, I'm pretty sure that after the draft you may do what you want normally with your team. The only drawback was "No Trading During The Draft."

Hell, if there are only going to be 28 players left after the draft is complete, I say, what the hell, lets draft 2 more rounds. And make it a max 27 player roster?

[b:d27cad94c0]Bombers... I'm interetsed in Henderson or Lock[/b:d27cad94c0]

I realize that we can't trade during the draft, but lmk if there's somebody you'd like with my next pick, and we could make the trade after the draft?

I am going to keep both Henderson and Lock. They will be my corner OFs vs LHP. So far I have 3 platooned positions for sure and may end up with 4. I am sure most of us will have at least that many or more.

Coffee, Don't be glum, you've got Lum!

I would hate to deprive you of Don Lock. I see you have Bobby Tolan. I might consider a straight up trade. :P

I am pretty happy with my offense. My defense.....well that's another story. My offense better be as good as I am thinking to make up for a few errors and lack of range defensively.

Right when I was about to draft Ken Boswell to be my 2B because he is a good hitting (vs RH only) 2B and a 3 fielder I looked at my fielding chart and realized that Dave Cash, a 4e10, will let fewer hits and errors get past him than a 3e39 like Boswell. You can't strictly go by the fielding number IMO, you have to look at the e factor too.

What the above paragraph is doing in my response to you, Coffee, I am not quite sure. :?

If you are looking for a decent fielding corner OF vs LHP take a look at Beachamp or Hinton who are still available. Too bad Joe Rudi or Amos Otis aren't good yet in 1969.
