Our historical single season sets

Roster size.

You do not have to keep all 25 live drafted players but nobody else may pick up any that you drop. As far as going over 25 the non-live drafted players may be picked up by anyone but they do not carry over to the finals league and they are the only players that may be on rosters in both leagues at the same time. Filling by this friday is probably a bit on the optimistic side but we have a chance to. I know once I get a DH, SP, and RP I will be able to really load up on the proxies as I won't have to be as selective with my proxies.

TRich, Once the season starts how will we keep up with what the "other" league is doing? I am sure that everyone will be interested. Someone should post a link to each league's standing page in this post. That should work.

After my next 2-3 picks, I can load up on proxies until the end listing every remaining player. I will be in Chicago from 10/13-10/17 and would be able to load into a league if needed.

Is there a limit on the number of S/R's we can draft? (Can will fill out our bullpen using S/R's, or do they have to be R-only?)

Actually, you have to draft 10 pitchers to be able to fill out a draft card, one of whom may be dropped during waiver period. I think.

I already have 5 starters. My question was whether I can draft starter-relievers for the bullpen, or if the starter-relievers are needed for others to fill out their starting rotations. If I do so, will there be a sufficient number of starters for everyone to be able to fill out their starting rotations?

True, you must have 10 pitchers for a complete card, However, you need only 9 on an opening day roster. The only restriction on those 9 is that 5 must be able to start. There is no restriction on having straight R's in the pen.

You may draft S/R for your bullpen. However we are getting down to where it is possible that there are not enough SP to fill out a valid roster. Currently there are 39 pitchers left that are elig to Start and the league still has 15 roster spots to fill for SP. I do not want to force anyone into drafting RP only guys so if we end up with a team or more that does not have 5 pitchers that can start they will have to make a trade to get valid post draft and prior to entering the league or if there is a non-drafted pitcher that can start they must drop thier last drafted RP only and draft that pitcher instead. It will be the invalid teams option. In the case of multiple teams it will be decided upon by total $ spent with the cheaper team having the first option ect. with the exception that if I am one of the teams involved I will have the last option. This will be the system if it comes into play on Catchers also and the drop option will be last hitter drafted even if that player is your only backup at that position and you would rather drop someone else it still must be your last drafted hitter if you go with the drop option. There are 28 catchers left with 12 roster spots to fill.
