2006 LOTO Tournament Round I League B

Postby alphonso » Fri Jun 30, 2006 9:24 am

OK these sweeps have to stop! 3 nights in a row!!

Two against and 1 sweep for me.

I am not a fan of this 'all or nothing' style of play....

I much prefer the mediocrity I am familiar with! :)

lost a series at home - but it wasnt a sweep - nothing sucks more than getting swept at home - except getting swept at home on a night you need to win 1 game to make the playoffs. ;)

Guys, could I ask you to post a link to you league so as to gather all league links for Rob in the main Loto thread?

A simple team link or boxscore link would do just fine.

I hope you find it in your infinite kindness to forgive the unforgiveable act of intruding and imposing myself onto your thread...especially since I come from the clearly superior Loto A!!! :P :P :P

Main thread...But I think the A and B Leagues have a very tough Road to the Finals. I'd definitely be thrilled to find any way I can into the top 6 and make the 2nd round...Certainly no EZ task...R

Just checking in...gotta go work yet another double in the Oven known as Phoenix, AZ. Ughhh!!!

Because there is no head to head and because they have played in different leagues, I think runs scored or run differential wouldn't be a fair way to decide either. I would imagine that lottery pic 3 might be the best solution, but I am definitely open to other suggestions. Robert

Runs scored would be unfair if a team was in Petco or another pitchers park (I'm in Great American so there isn't a bias). I don't see a problem with run differential even though again, it might put a pitcher's park team at a slight disadvantage.

We could always have a head to head competition if someone has a set of cards. I for one, would be happy to put my trust in a volunteer from this fine group to run such an event. Make it a two of three series, or if more than two teams qualify, perhaps a round robin event.

Anything beats a coin flip or a lotto pick as a solution for advancement.

i think run differential is the best way, i agree with jerlins i don't like the idea of a coin flip or anything like that.
