Fill this league, I command you

Look, the MFL 8 needs two. Frankly, there are ten team owners who are getting a little bit tired of waiting for minions in the Strat-O-Sphere to just pull the trigger and jump in the ATG II's most literary (or at the very least, delusional) league.

The MFL drip class like a weeping willow drips raindrops after a hurricane.

It has the DH. It has waivers. It has a $100M cap. That's $100,000,000. A hunnerd milyun.

Get in now, before I tell Nev.

What MFL means

Postby seyclops » Mon Jul 03, 2006 9:55 pm

It's from Jim Bouton's "Ball Four" description of Ted Williams taking batting practice.

"I'm Teddy F-n Ballgame" WHAM!!

"I'm the best g****m hitter in the Major F'n Leagues" THWACK!!

"Jim Bunning thinks he can sneak that little S**tty slider past me?" POW!!

Teddy F'n Ballgame. Of the MFL.

The league started with cards and dice in Washington DC back in the late 80s. Eric Davis and Kirby Puckett were hot commodities. We discovered Strat on line and the MFL was reborn last year and has been going without a break ever since.

Actually it predates Bouton. Williams, in his own autobio, always referred to it as the MFL.
