Original Keeper League (OKL) 2006 Season - We're Underway!!

I'm pretty content with my team ... got decent up the middle defense with Everett, Ellis & Rowand. Giles & Ellis should be productive at the top of the order and Ortiz, Floyd & Dunn will have fun slugging them home at Lefty friendly SAFECO. :)

Not as sold on my pitching, and still deciding whether or not to keep Fultz, who while has no HR against LH Hitting and should do quite well vs RH ... doesnt have a closer rating and I think Gonzalez is better suited for setup rather than closing.

I like my team better for [b:4d15ecae41]next[/b:4d15ecae41] year than this year. Had to drop redmond and get a catcher with pop and one who hits LH is even better in Schnieder. His throwing arm doesn't hurt either.

I like my line up balance Do NOT like my pen. I know I need another arm but don't want to give up my big boys to spend for one. Also still debating Swisher. He's playing primarily LF for oakland this year and I'm wondering if I should switch him out for a more tradition RF like Kearns or Ordonez.

I also know I'm gonna be lookin for a 2b again next year as Counsel is a SS this year and so is Betancourt.


I suspect I won't be in the playoffs this year but watch out for this team next year, especailly if we raise the sal cap :wink:

Kudos to Aray for ending my consecutive series streak. I think this is the first time I won as many as 6 straight series' at the beginning of a season!

This is definitely the hottest start I've had in 2006 so far - hopefully we do not cool down too quickly or too much!

my best start as well. Unfortunately, I am stuck behind the mighty Intrepid. I hope that I can at least be able to hang in there with AT's juggernaut. :)
