Grindi's Vet league forming

Grindi's Vet league forming

Postby GREGKOESTER » Sat Oct 08, 2005 10:09 am

I thought I'd see what all the hoopla was about a "vet league". I have the strangest feeling I'll see most of the same familiar faces though. I'll warn you all though. I'm playing in my favorite park, Forbes, But I'm giving you a chance :) because I'm trying a new strategy, at least drafting that way. Going to try a 5 starter rotation. So if you want to have some fun in a "vet league" sign up and I'll get you the pw. Friends and enemies all invited. First come first serve.

You're already about to experience an ultimate "vet" league. I figured I'd join you in this one. I'll anchor the West, since I don't want to have to beat you up in this league as well... :P

Happy to be here! You got to beat the best to be the best. Not as much fun otherwise. That's why I generally don't play public leagues, unless I'm doing a wacky theme or going for a specific record. Not that you don't have good players in the public leagues, but you're still most likely going to have at least 4 or 5 newbies. I stick to the leagues advertised on the boards or the different tourney's organized. People looking at the boards are much more likely to be better players. I've only completed three public leagues, one going for the doubles record, one with my extreme pitching staff, and one regular public one. I have two going right now-- one with my Worst OF ever (Greenberg, Hack Wilson & Keller), and one regular one.
