I've got no problem skipping straight to 06 - if the majority of owners want - but since this will be a continuation from 05 rather than a completely fresh start I figured owners might want a 05 season to ensure they have enough keepers to use in 06.

But couldn't we just choose our keepers from our last teams (I guess not if you don't have all the same returnees but I personally don't have '05 credits left to my name and have all but scrubbed that season from my memory :cry: ) ...

Sure we can - but I do not know if owners have enough 2006 capable players from their 2005 roster to make a good keeper squad so I figured it would probably be best to play a 05 season to prepare for 06. However, as I said above, if the majority are comfortable enough with their current end of season rosters we can skip straight to 06.
