Well Taxdude, we should see a lot of scoring in this league. August theme will be ALL about scoring based on bad pitching. This theme is all about crappy fielding which should result in the similar results.
I didn't have much to say, but I didn't want our thread to drop down to the bottom of the message boards! BUMP.

I am happy to say that after hours upon hours of research, I have developed the August theme league. However, I will not announce it for a couple of weeks our of respect for our other 2 leagues in progress. We need to get the Hands of Stone league kicked off this Monday night.

Happy 4th of July Gene. Unfortunately, I start the season playing your DeMilos tonight. We'll see who wakes up to a nice 4th of July tomorrow morning. I can't beleive I'm in the same division as you and TaxMan. On top of that, Sykes is the 4th guy and would always be considered to be the league favorite based on his rating! It could be a tough war out in the Eastern Division all season!! :shock: :shock:

Being a statistical guy and all I am going to keep a "scoring system"for the league. No necessary rhyme or reason to the info, but thought it would be fun to see "WHO IS THE BEST MAN" after 12 months.
Scoring will be as follows.
1. Manager will receive points based on final over all record in the league... 1st place gets 12 points... last place gets 1. Tiebreaker will be by run differential, then most runs scored.
2. Each division winner gets 1 point... wild card gets 1/2 point.
3. Winner of rd 1 playoffs get 1 point.
4. Winner of championship gets 1 point.
5. If you win the league you set up... you get 1 point.
6. If you come in dead last in the league you create... you lose 1 point.
Like I said, no method to the madness, but will be curious how this turns out. I probably will keep outher stats such as total wins, loses, playoffs, etc. but at the end of the 12 themes, I will unofficially crown someone the KING OF THE THEMES. MAy even give out some free tax advice to the winner.
