Question about HBP

Question about HBP

Postby BRADSANDBOTHE » Thu Jul 06, 2006 11:33 am

I got Gomes in a recent draft and noticed how many HBP he has on his card.

Do all HBP carry the chance of injury???

or is HBP + injury the only way a player can be injured by HBP?

players can only be injured on a result that reads "+ injury".

Thanks,

I just thought he had an inordinate amount and got me to wondering.

Anyone used Gomes?

Is he worth the 6+ million (I am playing at Coors)

Gomes did ok for me on an otherwise godawful Minute Maid team. 250/349/491, 41 HR, 103 RBI, 108 runs scored, 15-for-20 SB. He also struck out 226 times, which I don't think matters much, but is kinda funny since it would obliterate the real-life record. 6.5 is probably fair for him in the right situation, although note that it's real easy to find a cheap DH, so it really depends on your team context.
