Few comments, as this team is very well balanced and has a nice composition.

Cano:
Apparantly, he's gonna be hitting 8th or 9th. His offensive impact will thus be quite restricted by his line-up position. Why not then put all your doughs on defense, for this important second base position? What's even better, with Eldred on the bench, you have a capable pinch-hitter for your weaker second baseman in case you need a bit hit.

Relief:
You don't have a real strong set-up man to come in and stop the bleeding when your starters will be in trouble. Instead, you have 2 middle-class relievers in Witasik and Seanez. Personally, I would prefer spending big money on one set-up man, and get a bunch of sub 1M to complete the work. On that topic, because of the composition of your bullpen (lots of R1 specialists), I would consider going to 11 relievers, and 13 players. You don't 2 pinch runners anyway in Bruntlett and Logan.

Kent became available, so the Cano case is closed. Need to rework the pitching...will do so later. Eldred is my DH..40+ dingers and 80+ Ribbies for 1M guaranteed.

I don't and never have used pinch-runners. Bruntlett was going to platoon with Cano, now he will just my BU for everywhere.

Seanez is in my opinion one of the best relief values in the game. I'll get 150 IP with a 2.50 ERA.

Thanks for the thoughts. :D

I could bet some money on that Seanez... Not better than a 4 ER in this ballpark, with those relievers to back him up... :P

BTW, with those new moves that you made, you definitively do not have enough quality pitching, in my opinion....

Good luck anyway.

Well...maybe not 2.50, but I still love the guy!

Rotation is weak for now, but I'll work on it tomorrow.

Yeah, but you had much better pitching SPs in all those three seasons.

People sometimes don't realize that the relievers eras are dependent on the quality of the pitching around. With a worse rotation, relievers are brought in the game earlier. So when Seanez comes in the game, chances are that he's gonna stay until he's tired, or even after he becomes tired. Similarly, there is greater chances that Witasik and Hoffman won't be around, or won't be available, when Seanez is in trouble. Therefore, there is much greater chances that those cheap relievers (those sub 1M relievers) will be the ones relieving Seanez. Those relievers have very high whips, in the 1.50s-1.60s, so they are gonna allow many more runners left on base by Seanez come in than Witasik or Hoffman would do. Finally, Hal always removes a starting pitcher if he allows 3 hits/walks in one inning after he has reached his fatigue period. Cheaper starters are more susceptible to allow 3 runners on base without registering a single out. So there will be less occasions for Seanez to register an easy out and start all over in a new inning.

WE should never look at eras for relievers, anyway. We should look at whips, homeruns allowed, and number of times Hal let them pitch in fatigue modes (we can only estimate these occasions, unfortunately).

My two cents

Generally-I like your lineup.

But your middle D stinks with Orr and Young at SS and 2B. This will add about .40 to your ERA due to the extra base runners they will add. Id try to get a 2 at 2B at least.
