YF, somebody already has Oliver, which poses a problem. No one can claim him because Phoenix already has him, which is clearly unfair.

I don't think Oliver should be allowed, I asked at the start of the draft what the qualifacations were and was told that players on the worksheets were the players available.

[quote:28cfaeaaf1="BallyWackman"] And what constitutes an NL player/pitcher, is it 3 years in the NL[/quote:28cfaeaaf1]

Otherwise, why isn't Tudor available? Or Teufel, Proly, Benzinger to name a few that I'm aware of. Why are Easler, Ruppert Jones, Darwin, and Rob Murphy available while Sutton, Forsch, Porter and Luzinski are not?
Yountfan went to the trouble making the list, and no one had a problem with the list before the draft, so why not stick with the list? Just my opinion, I'll go along with the consensus cause I want to have fun and not piss anyone off. I'm happy to drop Oliver if that is what the league decides.

I didn;t make the list. It is the list we used for the AL only league in reverse. Am agreeing with you Wally, but we can let Al Oliver, that old time Pirate and Expo. It is not 3 yrs in NL, but 3 carded NL years. Not sure that make a difference. We had the same problem with AL only league.

I rules on Oliver and we'll hold tight to the rest.

Tudor PIT, STL, STL shoud be IN
Jones, R SEA, CAL, CAL out

You there are errors...what do you want to do? I say stay with the list.

There are errors of inclusion and exclusion. We're obviously not going to remove players with only 2 carded NL years that have already been drafted as that would be unfair. In the same vein it would be unfair to add players with 3 years not available during the live draft.
As long as people are not having difficulty fielding legal teams (which I don't think is the case), I say stick with the list.

Rules and PLAYERS

Postby YountFan » Mon Jul 10, 2006 4:27 pm

[b:ee0b55303d]all from page one of the thread[/b:ee0b55303d]
Rules - Revised

1. Live draft on Penn's site for NL Players. [b:ee0b55303d]15 rounds[/b:ee0b55303d]
2. Pick 3 for draft orders (high to low).
3.[b:ee0b55303d] All .75m Cathers, 2b and SS are available[/b:ee0b55303d]
4. Official list of NL players to follow. Only players on the list can be drafted or used (except for .75 catchers, 2b and SS).
5. NO DH (it is the NL after all)
6. 1 AL Stud draft/stadium on message board

Pick 3 used for AL Stud/Stadium then once that is down same states and new nunbers used for live draft.

Stud/Stadium
Stud...any AL players (ie guy not on the list)
Stadium must be NL park.
Draft order is high is 1st for stud, low is 2st for stadium.

Questions. This is just like the AL league except for 75m catchers.

So what are we going to do about teams that are about to start the season with inelligible players?

Idea...

Anyone who uses an illegal .75M player must start that player in the team's lineup each of the 162 games!

And if said illegal player actually contributes to any of the team's wins, then said player must either (a) bat leadoff, or (b) play out of position!

That'd teach 'em to mess with YF
