Good enough Ace.

I will take the Philles. With my supplemental I will have 38 players. I checked Baseball-reference.com and can come up with 2 players who will be Phillies in 2005. I can submit them for your approval when the time comes if the league agrees.

I worked last night so gonna hit the sack, if the Phils get taken I'll pick another team later.

Could you explain how future years are going to work in terms of drafting for next year? Are we stuck with the players our team develops, or will we designate a new round of keepers and hold another draft?

Can players play out of position?
I know this works with OFers - LF can play RF and CF can play either RF or LF - not sure what happens with 2B and SS -
Can I have Jeter play 2B is I want?

Wow - there are a lot of stars out there for the 1 round -

Randy Johnson (I think since he went to the Yanks, I should get him)
Ben Sheets, Jason Schmidt, David Wells, O Perez,
Todd Helton, Beltre, JD Drew, Guerrero, Melvin Mora, Ichiro

Quite a list.

Here's the order by # of wins.
Astros and Twins had same record but the Astros went to the Championship game.
The Red Sox won the series and went further than the Yanks in the playoffs. Not sure if that changes the order of the last 3.

Oh yeah, Bob gets 2 picks, so he should be able to find his IPs

1. Bob - Blue Jays - 67
2. Tony - Marlins - 83
3. Toisan - Cubs - 89
4. ktoe - Phillies - 86
5. Adrian - Oakland - 91
6. AceVentura - Twins - 92
7. Lucky - Astros - 92
8. Major Deegan - Red Sox - 98
9. rjoh - Yanks - 101
10. Mo Crash - Cardinals - 105

I think we may want to reconsider the 100% usage - it seems like it'll limit your managerial ability - the teams won't have any excess ABs to play with - maybe we should revert to 105% that worked well in the other leagues.
The Yankee pitchers have 1413 IPs and then there are the multi-cards and non-carded - it's seems really close to what I'll need.

Currently the plan is...

THIS IS FOR FUTURE YEARS ONLY - Every team will start the 2005 season with the 40 players had in 2004 and then cut one player for every player added so they never go over 40.

1. You can select one player that your team has a 2005 card for and is not on someone else'e team. (This number is up for debate, feedback is welcome :) )

2. We'll run a supplemental draft where all players not on someone else's team are available for a set number of rounds, again up the number of rounds is up for discussion.

[quote:dee09d616b]Can players play out of position?[/quote:dee09d616b]

Yes, you can play any player at any position. Please note that if you play someone at a position they do not have a rating for there is a sever fielding penalty, ie SS 5 e88  or something like that.

This is another area that I welcome feedback on, I'm all ears. 8)
