Coors Theme league?????

Coors Theme league?????

Postby BRADSANDBOTHE » Mon Jul 10, 2006 1:33 pm

I have not participated in a themed league yet, mainly because I am still pretty new at this.

Basically, I was thinking of an All Coors Theme with Pitching staffs with no pitchers over 2m. Something along those lines. That is about as far as I have gotten.

I was wondering if some of the Veterens might chime in and see if this might go somewhere?

This has been done before, refered to as the "Chicks dig the long ball theme"

I think it was pitchers under 1mil though.

Never done one myslef, but I know many have.

Puckin, that is exactly what I am doing for the August "Theme of the Month" club with an extra twist or so (only 1 defensive player with a "1" rating, etc.). If one of the 12 guys from the TOTM club wants to take a month off, I will let you know. :D

I've wanted to try one of these for a while now. If you can get it going I'll join.

Puckin, I got some '06 credits. Perhaps we could resurrect the Chicks Dig the Long Ball theme and you could lead the charge. I'm in!

Puckin, you really love your Coors, don't you. You should have jumped in the "Dewon Brazelton Memorial League" that just went off a few weeks ago. No SP over $1 and play in the four hiiting parks(1 in each division). There was a copy cat by a different name that went off a week or so later.

For the record, I have played 3 teams at Busch as well. The 3rd started last night. I have had great success at Coors, kind of re-kindled my faith in winning. My Busch teams were before Coors teams and I was still learning alot. The Coors teams helped me pick my latest Busch team, we'll see how it goes.

I would like to do a league like this, but not only have I never started a theme league, I have never participated in one either. I wouldn't even know where to begin.

I was kinda hoping some of the vets out there would be able to set up rules and whether or not to live draft (another thing I haven't done) and the rest blah blah blah.

Just throwing it out there in case some might be getting a bit bored with straight up play.

Just post your idea with the particulars(everyone in Coors, advanced autodraft, weighted waivers, no SP over $2.00, penalty for SP > $2.00, etc.). Then number 1-12 going down and wait until it fills. Check out the other theme league initial posts.

Just Trying some thoughts

Postby BRADSANDBOTHE » Tue Jul 11, 2006 1:16 pm

Figured I would bounce it off here before posting with not enough info or some other blunder.

How would this sound:

[b:ce1edf3954]The Epheus Longballer League[/b:ce1edf3954]

All Pitchers under 2m total Pitching roster of under 20M

Advanced auto Draft (I'm not sure what that is)

Weighted waivers/DH/80M

Prob should have Free Agent Drop Penalty 5/10/20

All Teams at Coors

What else would go here or would this pretty much explain everything besides the colorful wording?
