We very well may have been in the same bars. I liked Macawbers and Plums. Don't recall the Moonshadow Tavern but would probably recognize it. Definitely Pizza at The Nines.

Don't be impressed by the MBA. I think East Coast schools recruit West Coasters just to build diversity. Kind of like affirmative action.

Called Shrink

He'll be back at the hotel in about 30-45 minutes. No access where he is so, NP, unless you can fire his proxy for him, we'll just have to wait that much longer. After this long, I guess that's not so bad.

Hopefully everyone else is checking in upon occasion.

I can't fire proxies. Same problem as with day. Penn must have had issues with unscrupulous admin's because he changed what they are allowed to do. Basically I can't muck with anyones pick without changing their password and enter the site with that person's identity.

We can wait for another 30-45 minutes. Sorry today was wasted.

NP, not your fault, just the way it worked out. Hopefully we'll start moving again now.

Say, came across this today. Our very own Sandlot Shrink got his name in the LA Times: http://www.latimes.com/sports/columnists/la-spw-tvcol16jun16,1,3793379.column?coll=la-headlines-sports-columnists

Cool, that MIGHT be sandy's dad though. I don't THINK Sandy has been a producer, but I could be wrong. I'm sure he'll confirm for us when he gets on.

BTW speaking of work, if any of you are intrested in a longwinded boring desciption of my new job, check out the Origiinal USKL thread.

NP, didn't know Shrink was Shrink Jr. ;)

Say, post the link to your job description if it's not too much trouble. I'm lazy. :)

Looks like a good gig NP. Hard to give up on your dream though. :( Never say never, maybe you can keep your hands in TV through the school?

Well, we're moving again. Waiting for BM. I pinged him and Riggo to let them know we're moving again.

Actually NP, you were both Right AND Wrong.

That article of course DID mention my Dad, as he was NBC's Golf Producer for 20 years AND Produced 5 Super Bowls as well.

Of the current crew, my Dad was responsible for hiring BOTH Johnny Miller and Roger Maltbie as well as Mark Rolfing.

I currently am the Audio Effects Mixer for NBC's Golf and Olympics but I actually WAS a Producer for about 10 years total.

After my Dad left NBC he started his own Production Company and I of course went with him. We did various LPGA and Senior PGA evens as well as putting the Celebrity Tour on the map.

Dad eventually stepped down and I took over the Line Producing until the LPGA and PGA Tour decided to incoporate all their tournaments into packages with Large Sponsors like Cadillac and Buick, thus pushing out all the small Production Companies like ours that handled a lot of the smaller events.

However, I still Produced, Directed and wrote a Sports Show that appeared on ESPN for 8 yeasr total and aired every year at Christmas time, until my sponsor pulled the plug a few years ago.

Fortunately, that is when the Effects Mix job opened up at NBC and since I had started in Audio many years ago when Dad was still producing there I was a natural fit.

[b:bc94eea8a0]Meanwhile, I DID pick as promised and have turned my proxies back "ON".[/b:bc94eea8a0] :D
