Well, Ty here's why I'm enjoying it so much.
When I first joined up about 18 months ago, muttdoc had posted about this alcoholic theme team he was creating. We were joking about it. Into the thread Mr. Bruce the Moose inserted himself, with all the self-righteousness and indignation he could muster, and threatened to report me to my professional association for joking with muttdoc about his planned team. The Mooses last words were, "So how do you like them apples." Shortly thereafter, said Bruce the Moose, transmorgrified into our beloved King Olav as the Moose himself disappeared.
Perhaps you may recall the thread from last summer where I made a complete ass of myself by attacking muttdoc --in error as it turned out --for taking the last spot in a frenzy I had signed up for. In actuality our hero King Olav took my spot in the frenzy.
So as you can guess from all the above, I'm not Bruce the Moose/ King Olavs number 1 fan. I also only learned of the identity switch when Coach Rich started the thread a few months ago where we all gave a little bio about ourselves. Frankly I think that switching handles covertly is a bigger ethical faux pas than what this thread is about.
So actually Ty, I'm completely in your corner on this one.

I don't even care about the original emailer's unstated intent.
What now bothers me MUCH MUCH (did I say MUCH?) more.. is that the unnamed source has almost certainly watched this thread unfold... and yet with wild speculation, does not have the maturity to speak up.. have some conviction, fella.
We can speculate for three months what the intent was... but I would ask that person to speak up, state the intent, and then we can end this all. :wink:

Man, this forum is getting lively. This is better than any daytime soap I've ever heard of... I don't know if I can wait until the end... Who get's the girl? Who's got brain cancer this episode? The questions keep on coming.

Wouldn't it be nice to see the message that the King said he recieved in reply? Seeing as how this whole thing has already been taken public, it would be nice to see how it all turned out for our hero, wouldn't it?
As for the person posting, ask yourself, would you? Is there any chance that he would be believed if he said anything besides "yes, I meant to cheat"? Heck, I don't even think I would believe him, so don't hold your breath on that one.

Yes. I was trying to get King to post it, not encourage people to hack into the league mail, but what I said was ambiguous. My apologies.

That's half my point... it's not about posting ONLY IF everyone will believe and understand... it's about posting to speak up, tell the honest truth (whatever it really is in this case) and then let it go... the manager can thus walk w/his head raised up knowing he spoke up & spoke the truth.

What's struck me as interesting... of all these posts... not a single other person posted saying "you know such a thing happened to me too".. which suggests to me that at most it's an isolated incident, and at best it's a gross misunderstanding resulting from a "group-jump-to-conclusions".
I sincerely think it best, no matter what the truth is, for the person to speak up at a time like this... just an honest posting of the truth would go a long way to put this behind us as we move onto ATG-3!!! :D :D
