Saw your reply RS. I'm not sure if I'll do the deal even though I proposed it. I'll think about it tonight. I am hesitant to give up another RH bat and the other players' power. So I might send an alternate offer, but use the first one as something to build upon.

HAL-Damnit2!

Postby Semper Gumby » Sat Jul 08, 2006 7:44 am

Well, after HAL's display of niffty running against my OF (Dawson, Gwynn, Rice) last series HAL turns the worm on my team last night as I dropped three 1-run games with the #3 scoring offense and the #1 pitching squad.

[code:1:777c5d949d]*** TOP OF INNING 2 ***
0 J.Rice 1 Single b-1
0 1 A.Dawson 1 Ground Out Double Play 1-o b-0
2 K.Hrbek 4 Double b-2
2 2 J.Newman 3 Single 2-o b-1

*** TOP OF INNING 3 ***
0 B.Doran 4 Walk b-1
0 1 T.Gwynn 3 Strike Out b-0
1 1 1 Caught Stealing 1-o
2 A.Trammell 1 Home Run b-H
2 T.Wallach 2 Single b-1
2 1 D.Strawberry 1 Double 1-H b-3
2 3 J.Rice 2 Fly Out b-0

*** TOP OF INNING 6 ***
0 T.Wallach 4 1 Base Error - 2B b-1
0 1 D.Strawberry 5 1 Base Error - 2B 1-2 b-1
SUBSTITUTE P - Frank Williams
0 12 J.Rice 6 Fly Out b-0
1 12 A.Dawson 5 Line Out b-0
2 12 K.Hrbek 1 Single 2-o 1-2 b-1 [/code:1:777c5d949d]

[b:777c5d949d]Why did HAL green light Hrbek (1-11) and Wallach (1-12) when my settings are conservative for running as Copycat's OF had all negative throwing arms? [/b:777c5d949d]

You would figure that HAL had to know that my runners would have had no better than a 50% success rate of scoring. To show how stupid the game engine is - Copycat leads the league in OF assists.

Oh, and HAL tosses out Gwynn on a +1 arm combination when my steal settings are conservative.

[b:777c5d949d]I say this is bullchit. [/b:777c5d949d] :x

Last chance for anyone that might be interested in my dynamic DP combo of Ozzie and White. They might be gone tomorrow.

Ugh, I've lost 9 in a row, 6-19 in last 25. Fire the manager/GM!

I'm racing you for the bottom, YD.
The GM is suspect too.
Of course, at the end of this season we have Contraction!

15 in a row lost. 6-24 in last 30. I knew my team wasn't as good as it was playing at the start of the season, but it can't be this bad can it? I've got the goose with a sub 1.00 era; can't imagine where i'd be without him. Schmidt must be in his worst card since he's hitting under .200 vs lefties, keith hernandez must be on the blow as he's hitting freakin' .236. I keep trotting him out at the 2nd to 5 th position in the lineup and he keeps not hitting. Bryn Smith has gone from Cy Young to Matt Young. Well,I'm going to be moving for the next 2 weeks (cross-country), so maybe my team will improve once I stop tinkering with it.

Sure looks like I'm going to be out at the end of this season.

Well, true to form, after appearing in every single game up to this point, Bob Horner reverted to form, suffering a multi-game injury as a result of tweaking his funny bone while taking a massive hack trying to impress the chicks during batting practice. He tried to play through it, even hitting a few homers in the last couple of games, before packing it in. At least he is finally over a .200 BA. True to my word, I sent Bob packing and welcome his replacement at 3B, George "Taco" Bell!!! Taco's iron glove can't be any worse than Bob's, and I'm certain Taco will find the launching pad to be conducive to his homerun swing.

Also - I'll be travelling a ton in the next three weeks, and access to my team will be extremely sporadic, so if I don't answer your e-mails its 'cause I can't get to them. What kind of training, you ask? Air Force Training, Sir!!!!

Strat - I answered your trade proposal... That's right, there was actually a trade proposal in this league!!!!!

Yo SOG -

Does this mean you packed the gulf clubs and smoking jacket for the "air force" training?

If not, you might ask your valet to go grab you some just tell him to fill the "Hummer" up once done using it.
