Who do you take 1st in $60 live draft?

I have 1st pick and I am not sure for a hitting park:
1)T Clark-good value but has potential injury problems and plays a position where slugging would be available later in the draft.
2)Floyd-Bargain slugging, but can put up very ordinary stats in an $80 league even in a hitting park, as I have had him a few times. Still has dependable production and a cheap price. I can always get a more costly slugger later.
3)Manny-Bargain slugging. Potential HR leader at a reasonable price.
4)Vlad-might as well take Manny with no injury potential.
5)Griffey-One of few affordable power hitting CF.

I am assuming it's a DH league, right?

Of the 5 you mentioned, it's between Manny or Vlad. Probably Vlad only because I feel easier playing him in the OF, and RF is a bit shallow IMO.

Why not ARod?

Gives you so much option after that. You can go for cheapie power (McPherson at 3rd, Granderson at lf, to name a few) and good pitching, or good middle-priced power and cheapie pitching.

Among your options, it would be Griffey.

I would guess Arod would last due to his price, although that is not a guarranty. That's why Floyd is somewhat appealing to me, as you get a good player while still leaving $$$ to make a move for a slugger who doesn't get drafted due to his price. If you pick even a $7 guy first, it seems you are committing to a more balanced approach.

seeing as I'm 10th in that same league not sure of why you'll listen to me. Plus I haven't done a 60 mil yet in 06, but in 05 I never saw the teams who spent that 12+ mil on a player win. Sure that player did well, but overall the team didn't do well. Spending 22% of your cap on 1 player? Hard to win unless you get a lot of good values to go around him, which is even harder to do in a live draft.

Personally I've had luck getting the 4-6 mil value's (at H and P) and go from there
