So there doesn't seem to be a consistent answer. People seem willing to let us claim our misplaced players, but have different answers as to how to do this.

I guess to drop a couple of players to make room for Yount. I'm inclined to use my first waiver pick to get him back. There's a good chance I won't be around for the post-waiver frenzy, so I suppose that will allow others access to players I won't have access to.

Speak now if you have another thought or further opposisition. I'm presuming that neither Hak nor crossing will claim Yount. And I'm presuming only Sean will claim Van Slyke.

My sugesttion was to drop the fogotten players salary, pick any one on waviers you want, and then pick up the forgotten one later. No one will pick them. My reason from droppiong their salery is so that other (including you) have a chance at them via waivers. Maybe someone really wants Tabler, really bad.

Sean and BC have your normal wavier picks, you may need them, but free up enough cash for the forgotten two.

[b:8cf212b619]So that is my ruling, per crossings orders.[/b:8cf212b619]
1. Release enough salary so that you could pick up RY or AvS
2. Waviers as normal
3. Pick up RY and AvS (maybe with your last wavier pick, because if they sit out there too long the temptation will be too great and I'll have to pick them up....[i:8cf212b619]I know, you love Robin[/i:8cf212b619].....love is such a strong word....[i:8cf212b619]OK, but he's better than Schofield[/i:8cf212b619]....that is true...[i:8cf212b619]so you'd take him if you could[/i:8cf212b619]....can i?...)

Seems fair, or as fair as we are going to get. It also sounds like BC and Sean or OK with this. I'm OK with this. CR too. Albert and others think they should get those players.

Is this OK with the league?

I'm for whatever keeps Yount on BC's team and Van Slyke on Sean's team. It was an honest mistake....this ISN'T MLB, where millions of dollars are at stake....we should all get over it.

As for setting a bad precedent in the future, if next year IMB claims he mistakenly left Ricky Horton off his draft card, y'know what? I've played in tons of leagues with IMB and have and enough contact with him that if he REALLY felt that strongly about it, I'd want him to have Horton too!

That's my point, really. We're all comrades here....and this is just a game. I'm sure if BC loses Yount or Sean loses Van Slyke, there will be no need to hide sharp objects or lock all the windows in thier house. But why do that to respected members of our community?

Speaking of precedent, if I remember correctly, Sykes ended up getting Wallach back and Dingo got Leonard back as well. Sykes's case was obviously a mistake.....Dingo's case, not so obvious....and yet he got a mulligan too. Now, call me crazy, but to me, BC and Sean has established enough goodwill in this league to get the benefit of a doubt....certainly more so than Dingo had established. That's all I'm sayin'.

YF's proposal sounds fair.

Just for accuracy's sake, Dingo did not get Leonard back. He threw in the towel rather working something out. Sykes did get Wallach.

I appreciate what you said about goodwill albert. That's why when spots have opened up, I haven't wanted to open it up to whoever signs up first. With TRich, BJ, and crossing I believe we invited players we knew we could trust and guys we wanted in the league.

That should resolve it. Dingo, you're free to take Leonard with your waiver pick. You don't have to drop Driessan to do this as it's simply your waiver pick.[/quote:22f034d6be]

He may not have gotten Leonard back, but the above shows that he was given the opportunity to do so. I believe he chose not to.

Just so I understand this correctly,

BC and Sean will each cut the equivalent value of their unpicked player ( More accurately, it should be the players value plus 750K, since it represents two roster spots, but I'm not quibling) and they will in turn select said player with their first waiver pick. They will not be penalized any further in terms of lost waiver picks and the like. The guys cut to the free agent pool are open to everyone and we all agree to leave Yount and Van Slyke off of the first round of our waiver sheets. Correct?

For what it is worth, this is a resolution that seems fair to me and one that I endorse. It comes as close to making things whole as we are going to get at this juncture. I hope there are no hard feelings on this thing, since I've always consistently tried to come down on the side of the integrity of the league. A keeper league that goes beyond a couple of seasons is a very rare thing. This league rates number one on my favorite things about playing Strat on this web site. Just trying to keep it real.
