Rickey in the early years; McGwire and Canseco later on; absolutely NO pitching on this Red Sox/Oakland hodge podge, but the hitting should be astounding --- some Tettleton years, Lopes years, ... hey, I can't find Joe Morgan's card on the FA list .... !!!

Boone and Virgil are available.

Hak: Let me figure out what I have and what you have. I am on vacation this week so I have pleeenty of time to figure out what i have.

My vacation is a baseball geek's paradise; my laptop, strat printouts and Cape Cod league games. :D

YF, I caught an error on your spreadsheet. You loaded in the info for John Martin instead of Jerry Martin. I found it because Martin (the one with a strat card) was on the Giants in '81.

Guys, you should double check your rosters on retrosheet. YF did a fantastic job with the spreadsheet but with so many players it must have been easy to make the odd error.

Updated Workbook

Sorry about that BC. Like I said I had issues name matching the hitters.

Team Based Decade League Excel Workbook [i:ff3b83b72c]I suggest you right click on the link and do a SaveAs.[/i:ff3b83b72c]

Retrosheet is nice because when looking at a player you can click on the team and see all the players for that team/year. It is a great tool.

YF, you are simply TOO GOOD to me ... I'll do it .. NOT !!

Clemens doesn't become eligible until 1984. Ojeda, Hurst, Tudor, Boyd .. I can cobble a staff together. And, I get Billy Buck in 1986 !! Woo Hoo !!

So, It wasn't Yountfan who stole my team after all, it was BC. wouldn't you know it. Not that I really thought they'd get to me.

so, looking at the teams that are left, there is only one conclusion that can be reached........ I should have traded down.

The Indians were on my list Hak. If they would have had some relief pitching I may have taken them. They give you some SP early to get to Higuera and company

The Brewers with Cory Synder are fearfull bunch.

that's the main proble, between the Brewers and the Indians I have all of um no RP.

If anyone wants to trade RP's for 1B and 3B, plesae see me, I'm in the market.

SF was my team, They would have been a nice fit. I am happy with my SP later in the decade, the early years will be tough.
