23 innings with a no-hitter inside

I'm sure there have been a few longer games, but this one was filled with weirdness.

-Fosnow, Drabowski and Worthington pitched a combined 11 1/3 no-hit innings between the 12th and 23rd innings
-The streak was broken by Beals Becker's game winning HR
-Becker was only in the game because Gwynn was injured in the 3rd inning
-It was the last series of the season, and I clinched home field in the playoffs
-My starting CF (Landis) was injured until the first game of the World series in the 16th inning
-Landis was supposed to be resting, but his back-up was injured for 8 games the prevoius game
-Dizzy Dean gets to play CF and goes 0 for 2

Lab,
Can you post a team link? I'd like to look at Landis stats.

Can't complain too much about Landis. He almost hit his card in Forbes, and played outstanding defense. I'll miss him in the playoffs.

While you're looking, check out Fosnow: 22 hits in 56 innings. This team got good value out of a bunch of cheap relievers.

If you play the PC version of the game, guys like Landis and Al Smith are fun to have on your team. You notice all the little things that they do when you play games manually that don't show up in ATG boxscores.

That being said, I usually don't have enough guts to use them here.

Nice team.

Poor Ozzie - you go through the season hitting over .300 and planning on signing a big contract in the offseason, and you go 0 for 10 the last game and finish at .298. That'll cost a few million.
