Fact 2. They rarely do.

[quote:18c42a083b]What you guys are saying is...a guy 25 games behind at the trade deadline and sinking farther, shouldn't make a trade. That is ridiculopus. By making NO move it ASSURES the other 3 guys in his division they will kick his butt. [/quote:18c42a083b]

No offense Grindi, but I do not think anyone said a last place team cannot trade. I do not want to speak for other people who have already chimed in, but I think they were saying a last place team who takes a trade that further hurts his team and helps a contending team affects more than just the other 3 teams in the last place team's division. At that point you are affecting any team in the playoff hunt.

WOW....I missed a LOT while I was gone

Thanks to Hak and nev for the kind words on page 1!!!!!!!

fluffy.... i can't understand your refusal to understand my comments on DD. FOR THE RECORD.... I LIKE DD and I think Adrian did a fantastic job with it..... I also think its exceedingly kind of him to share it with all of us. I also feel its accurate. NOW....can you PLEASE stop saying crap about it. I ALSO like Adrian and don't need him ticked off thinking I am dissing his work.

Someone said they had the top 50 list down to TWO names..... holy cow.. you are either a much better judge of character then I am .... or you know the top 50 one heck of a lot better then I do. Removing the guys I am SURE? of and also the ones that I am pretty sure of....and the ones that I think might be ok.....I still have a list of 25 that I don't know enough about to eliminate or elivate to prime suspect......of those 25....I "feel" that another good bakers dozen are unlikely.....that leaves a dozen that I haven't a clue on.....

tycobb....you are ornery :D :D

harry....has anyone anywhere anytime ever convinced you of anything?

As long as it's old school, I'm in. Nicole was in my very first league. I would feel obligated. Set it up, see what happens.

No offense taken Boss. I guess I should have said implying not "saying". I honestly think it would be awfully difficult to make a horrible team worse by trading. Dumping to the wire for .50 guys is FAR worse. I get annoyed when somebody drops Snider or Alexander or Mays, yada yada, to the wire without offering them up for trade. I just tried to trade, Maddox, Hughson, and Marquard off in a league and nobody was interested. At 25 games behind and them pitching like 1.5 mil guys, I dumped them for under 2mil guys and picked up Greenburg and Boggs. Did it improve the team? I don't know. I seem to be losing closer now.
