Mark Langston

I am debating trying Mark Langston to replace John Tudor in my rotation. Have any of you had any positive results from Langston? I have played in twenty leagues and have yet to see A) Langston used or B) If used have any success.

His WHIP is usally too high to be worth the price of admission. But we can be a .500 pitcher for sure, but so can Hough.

I haven't seen much of Langston either. He should be a good pitcher on a good team. I agree that he is overpriced. Perhaps if he were 5.5M, that might be more in line. I would try him before hough, however.

Tudor was bombed again last night. I am going to take a flyer on Langston. I need a left handed starter so Hough was never in the picture. I think Langston along with Soto and Clemens should put a lot of K's on the board.

Browning would be my first choice with Deshaies as a cheaper alternative.

I use Leibrandt and Deshais a lot, but usually as fall back guys, pitchers who are on the FA list when I figure out that I have a bad card from a SP and they more often than not perform fine.

I think Burns is probably the best pitcher on the list, but keep Leibrandt and Deshaies in mind if you need them.

I'd pass on Langston as well.
