Our Mystery Card games - The '70s Game, Back to the '80s, Back to the '90s

Holy Cow! The Ankle Biters turned into Great Danes last night and hit 14 HRs in the 1st two games of the series. They had hit only 79 in the previous 75 games! I don't know what MRMS is feeding them but I'm putting in a call to the commissioner.

I think I'm in the market for a quality pitcher. The Jim Gott trade seems to have affected the staff.

Now everytime there is a tiny outburst of homeruns we suspect the players are juiced. We at Cadwaleda University are behind the Comish's steriod testing policy. We support all investigations..........um what? We hit how many? .....As I was saying, we at Cadwaleda are ashamed that the media points the finger at honest hard working ballplayers. Why anyone can see its the balls that are juiced, not the players. Err, its the smaller parks and the watered down pitching that is to blame. 8)
On a completely different note, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce our newest trainer, Greg Anderson. Greg has shown himself to be one of the most forward thinking trainers and an expert in flax seed oil usage. We would also like to thank Balco Labs for their generous contribution to our Chemistry dept. The new motto for the Chemistry dept is now...'better living through chemistry'.

BALCO?

I'm looking to hire Dolly Parton's   , Anna Nicole Smith's   , and Mariah Carey's   personal trainers to my club's fitness staff.

If these professionals can increase these ladies' pectorals without any illegal drugs, imagine what they could do for my team's output. :?

I made two trades already. The third one (possibly) is right here. I'm putting up Jose Canseco '90 (.912 OPS, 37HR) or '91 (.910 OPS, 44HRS)...see game 7 injury results. I'm looking for an outfielder that can offer OBP and better defense. How 'bout some of you homerun park managers test driving Andro-boy?

Send an offer (preferably with an ID of year) if your interested. My pitchers park is holding him down...

For Poos and Grins

Jim Rice's season has been a puzzle of poo despite glimpses of his 1978 season card with 5 triples so far this season.

Jealousy

Postby hechojazz » Thu Jul 20, 2006 5:24 pm

Bracket 3 is in the minor leagues compared to you guys when it comes to joking chatter...can't seem to get any discussion running over there where I'm a-playin'. But if things continue like they look to be, I'll hopefully find myself in a chattier bracket next time around! I enforce a strict rule on myself of only having one Strat team at a time, so perhaps I obsess about my one team a bit more than many of you vets with a stable of active teams. But I've enjoyed following your bracket's discussion thread - you guys got it right!

:)
