World Series Champs... featuring HoFer's Home Run Baker, Eddie Collins, Chief Bender, Eddie Plank... did I miss anyone?

Eddie Collins enjoys an upgrade here - he'll be removed from the '19 White Sox and represented here, with the '11 A's.

* Whether a year's card set is [b:72dbf9da35]Super-Advanced[/b:72dbf9da35] or not was a significant factor in our team decisions. SA card sets are sets that Strat-O-Matic officially created and released for that year, which include more accurate data (such as ballpark HR and clutch tendencies) than non-SA years. The 1966 Orioles (SA) replacing the 1970 Orioles (non-SA) is an example of such a move.

Other notes:

- Please refer to this thread for where I previously announced that ATG III will feature the option to play any of a number of pre-defined subsets of the master player pool, if you don't want to play with the entire pool.

- Since the team pool is growing so large, we are somewhat relaxing our "Greatest Teams" criterion for selecting new teams, and shifting the focus a little more towards the players. It's not a dramatic shift, but I just wanted to explain why you'll be seeing some 3rd place teams making the cut for ATG III.

- Error ratings WILL BE NORMALIZED across era, so you'll no longer have to worry about guys like Honus Wagner committing 50 errors a year.

Truly an All-Time Great Team. Terrific defensively for its time, as well. This was the famed "$100,000 Infield."

Frank "Home Run" Baker was always a favorite of mine; he's going to be a premium player, I think.

Now I wonder what the nit-pickers will say about this one... I can hear it now: "Jack Coombs had a much better year in 1910. It's a shame we have to settle for a mediocre Coombs card. Are they trying to overload the .50 starters?" ;)

Eddie will no longer be bullet proof.....so its a trade off ..... should be a great card....and an expensive one too.....

I wonder if they will address the injury thing for the new game.... its pretty tough taking a guy with 599 PA's who has the same injury risk as far as number of games as a guy with 120 PA's..... I would think making those guys over 500 AB's have a max 7 games would be much better.

Cy Morgan with zero HR's should be a good card too....and Coombs "might" be usable also.........Stuffy and the 3 OF'ers may be decent small ballers if the defense is there....it looks suspect though. This is one of the better choices so far IMHO. :D

Jack Lapp will be one of the most sought after players off this team...if he gets a card.
