Tear it up????

Tear it up????

Is my team having bad luck, or is it just not the right fit for forbes? And any lineup suggestions would be helpful?

I think you're having a little bad luck, but that's not all of it. I'll put in my 2 cents.

The one thing that jumps out at me is that you have only one player with over 100 RBI and one with a SLG % over .480. You've got some good OBP with Jones and Selkirk, but there's no one to bring them home, because they are also your top slugging guys. Wilson has got great speed, but he doesn't get on base nearly enough. That's why I never use him. Team speed is very good except for Battey. D is good, but not great which helps at Forbes. You want more DPs and strong OF arms to keep the runners from advancing.

With Jones, Wilson, Battey and Chapman you're strong toward LHP which you are seeing only 30% of your ABs.

You may also be in for a long season with many guys that are injury risks. That means alot of of playing time for Paskert, Fox and Dente.

Bell and Henry have too much non-BP HR risk. I've used Bob Miller and Patterson as middle RPs successfully in Forbes and they're less $$$ than Henry.

I suggest the following lineup, but I am admittedly no expert here. Play around with it to see what works and what doesn't.

against LHP
Steinfeldt - he rocks, good OBP, good speed
Wilson - good bunting and VERY LOW double play chances
Cleon
Selkirk
Judge - next best OBP
McDougald
Chapman
Battey

against RHP
Steiny
Cleon
Selkirk
Judge
McDougald
Chapman
Wilson
Battey

Hope this helps. Good luck!

I don't think the team is that bad & certainly would not implode it @ this point. There are a few guys I really like at Forbes that could be options for you on future squads, including Cochrane, Alou & Valentine, but don't do anything rash this early.
Best of luck with the dice rolls.
