Done Dumping

Postby Semper Gumby » Sat Jul 22, 2006 5:53 pm

I feel better now that I passed that "movement" and I'm good for another day or so.

I hear some noise about wanting a few of my turds - send a proposal as I'm happy with my grouping. :D

Well, I bit the bullet & dealt Wagner & Lopez to BigAl so I could go with a true small-ball/defense team, getting Figgins back in the deal. See if it hurts me not having the good SLG later on, but I wanted to go with a real experiment, at least considering my usual tendencies...should be fun!

[b:cdf20d65ab]Has Fatherhood Changed Silver?[/b:cdf20d65ab]

<San Jose> In a suprise move in this summer's NLD, the vaunted San Ho Silvers have gone away from their power laden lineup and instead have embraced the small ball movement. "With the arrival of my child, I just don't have time to pump weights." Said manager QKSilver. "That and I just don't think taking steriods sets a good example."

The rest of the NLD is grateful to actually get a few Left-handed power hitters in the round, but remain wary. "Hey, if Silver is doing it, maybe I should consider it." said Cleveland Dingleberry manager Semper Gumby. "We'll be watching the results very carefully. Well, at least as soon as we dismiss the frivolous "Hoorah for the Boobies" lawsuits we've been facing."

The success of QK's endeavor remain to be be seen, but it will make for an interesting NLD14.

Down Shifting

Postby Semper Gumby » Sun Jul 23, 2006 7:40 pm

Goodness, I down shift the old engine on Albert Pujols and someone immediately upgrades their transmission by adding Albert over Derek Lee.

I had hoped to see QKie jump into the pool on Albert

Let me drop some pitching slags into the engine oil and see what happens

Show Some Action?

Postby Semper Gumby » Mon Jul 24, 2006 7:34 am

It took the Cleveland club to drop Albert before the NLD league waiver wire finally woke up.

Otherwise, I - personally - got tired of seeing the add/drop activity consisting of [b:cba0542122]QK[/b:cba0542122] handling the 25 lb dumbbells at the "gym" and [b:cba0542122]AT[/b:cba0542122] seeing how many times he could replace the lightbulb in his pitching bullpen sitting area.
