Our Mystery Card games - The '70s Game, Back to the '80s, Back to the '90s

Damn. Jimmy decided to play it safe rather than accept the blockbuster I offered him. Oh well. I probably would've made the same decision in your shoes.

I guess I should open it up to others. Anyone want roll the dice on a major deal? The deal I offered Jimmy involved Easler - his best (80) card) - Brett (85?) and Henke. I don't have much to lose so make me an offer. But I'm not giving these guys away either.

BC, what do you want for Henke. I'll even take Gott back.

That was definitely a blockbuster BC and well thought out. In any normal win-or go-home league I would have jumped it. I did play it safe and traveled the conservative "try to survive" road...now if only it actually works.

With all George's recent travel activity, I'm worried he didn't take his butt cushion with him.

Did BC forget to toss George's brother Brett into the trade?

He threw everything else in besides the damn bat boy.

Maybe Panzer can toss in the bat boy from his team. I saw that guy jack out a few during BP -

Actually...I'd trade about anyone on my team for Panzers bat-boy. :D

Let me check the box scores as HAL may have played him for Panzer once or twice this early season.

Well...it looks like all the overtime my front office staff put in has payed off. I made 4 trades this season (actually...I think they may have been the only trades in this league) and it has certainly showed positive gains in the standings.

My team is talking playoff run... :D

Jimmy, sorry for my abrupt response to your trade offer. Randolph's always a keeper for me and I see giving up his 2 defense as a big sacrafice.

I know my last trade drew questions from some, but it actually seems to be paying off. Since the deal, my team has gone 11-4. I took a gamble that Clemens could make a difference -- he's 3-0 with a 2.97 ERA. DeCinces brought some of the power I was hoping for and Lee Smith hasn't blown me any games, even if he's not Henke. I have a chance to at least get back in the top 8. Now that I've posted this of course, though, I've probably jinxed myself and will go on a big losing steak. :(
