To All,

I do not believe that there will be an issue with the draft cards. The minimum amount that can be listed is $75 million. In this league, that is easily obtainable by everyone.

But, does anyone know the rules re: the minimum when a $100 million league actually begins play? In the Unsung Heroes (1969) League, we have a $200 million cap, but most of teams were only able to spend about $35 million or so. I know that I’ve always maintained cap room in excess of $160 million. Hence, I don’t think that there will be an issue here.

Any other viewpoints?

I suspect that once the autodraft runs, all leagues except the $200m leagues, will prevent a team from having less than 60% of the league salary cap.

So, I think $80m leagues prevent you from falling to 48m or below.

$100m will keep you in the $60-$65m range I suspect.

Best person to answer this would be a $100m ATG2 league member who had Kriff in their league. 8)

Thanks Bob and Sykes. It will be interesting to hear an answer to our questions. Here is what I have heard to this point to be true from other players:

$200M----no minimum salary requirement
$100M----$75M minimum salary
$80M-----$60M minimum salary

This is heresay, so we'll see what the "experts" have to tell us.

The above ring true in terms of creating a draft card, but are less across the board in terms of salary used during the year.

just seen someone in an 80m league that droped all of thier players and purchase all .50 cards - total salary of about 12 mil - so i think once your in you can have any sort of team cap you WANT :).

To prove this, KEV, you could attempt to drop all of your players in one of our "other" leagues and replace them with .50 cards - JUST TO SEE IF IT WORKS ! :lol: :twisted: :P

I doubt that there will be any salary cap issues. Having said that, we are waiting for Assmeriten (Andrew) to join the Eastern Division.

Hmmm....I wonder if Tom is thinking I should do this test in one of the leagues I'm in his division!!! Naaah. Tom wouldn't be that evil and try and trick me that way!
BTW, now that you mentioned it, I did hear that happening in a league. It was ugly. All of the other 11 owners fried the idiot who did that and reported him. This could mean that at some point, it is possible to sink below the "minimum" level at some time. Again, I wish I understood the minimum rules better.

Poor Doc. In last place in his own theme!!! Of course I'm only 1 game ahead of you. What is really ironic is that I thought my Unsung Heroes team was really going to suck in the June theme and they have the leagues best record while the team in the Hands Of Stone league was supposed to be a world beater (in my head) and they suck!! Themes are not for guys who don't want to lose their hair.
My August theme may have me in last place. 2 other teams in which I'm in a similar league are horrible!! What was I thinking?

By the way, I think Andrew (Assmeritan) is on vacation this week. I think this is one of the reasons he requested an Aug. 7th start instead of July 31st. No problem. The league will fill up by early next week and we can get on with the madness!!
